I was lucky enough to live in Kathmandu in the 90's. It was and continues to be a magical place. My friend Tulsi, who I met while working there, has an import export business that I am helping to expand to the US.

All profits return to Nepal where Tulsi and his wife Bidya search out items that may sell well here in the US.

Hastakala has begun to invest in their workers. Currently, they have bought a sewing machine for one of their staff and are providing school tuition for her son. It is our hope that as the business grows, we will be able to expand our philanthropic footprint :)
